Cincinnati Bengals star Ja'Marr Chase bizarrely turns on quarterback Joe Burrow just weeks before new season | Daily Mail Online

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has bizarrely turned on his quarterback, Joe Burrow, in favor of rival signal caller Josh Allen in a recent interview.

Chase, who joined Madden 26’s 99 club, as having the highest rating possible in the game was asked about a fellow 99er, Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

Burrow only received a 97 in the game, an elite rating that makes him the third best signal caller in the game, ahead of Patrick Mahomes (95), but behind Lamar Jackson (99).

Chase was asked as a 99-rated player, what he sees in Allen that makes him worthy of the same rating from the game.

‘Honestly, I feel like he has it all. The timing, the accuracy, the placement, the speed, the awareness, the field recognition,’ Chase said of Allen. ‘What else? He audibles in the backfield.’

Chase then went out of his way to prop up himself, which in turn, intentional or not, threw Burrow under the bus.

Chase seemed to prefer the skills of Bills quarterback Josh Allen over those of Burrow

Allen and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson are both rated 99 in Madden 26

‘When you turn on Joe’s tape, it’s different from Josh Allen’s tape, completely different. People game plan against Josh Allen, not against Joe Burrow. They plan against (his weapons).’

Chase is right to assume Allen has never had a receiver of his caliber with the Bills. Then again, most teams in the league do not have one of the best wideouts in the NFL.

Chase himself is one of two 99-rated wide receivers in the game alongside fellow LSU alumnus Justin Jefferson, who is garnering plenty of attention with the Minnesota Vikings.

Chase and Burrow have not only been teammates at the professional level but have shared a locker room since their days at LSU. Now, the U-turn from Chase comes as a shock to Bengals fans.

Burrow has not replied to the comments made by Chase, with the comments comparing Allen and Burrow still coming off as bizarre, even if the $161million man did not mean to diss his longtime teammate.
