🚨BREAKING: NFL analyst Kay Adams is making a bold case for the Kansas City Chiefs to sign veteran pass rusher Cameron Jordan following the 2026 NFL Draft. With Patrick Mahomes recovering from a torn ACL, Adams argues that adding Jordan’s veteran leadership and proven production—including 10.5 sacks last year—is the “home run” move needed to return to Super Bowl greatness.👇

Now that the 2026 NFL Draft is a few days in the rear view, much of what you’ll hear and read is going to be about some next steps for every team. For the Kansas City Chiefs, there are still some areas they could continue to add depth and talent to, but that’s the case for the entire league.

Cameron Jordan

Specifically, there are going to be a lot of Chiefs fans who want to see this team go sign one of the top veteran pass rushers still available. There are a few good ones, but one of them, in particular, looks like he soars above the rest.

NFL analyst and personality Kay Adams recently paired current free agent pass rusher Cameron Jordan and the Chiefs, while on the air, and made it clear that this is what she wants to see out of Brett Veach in the coming days:

“I want to make my case here that he does in fact need to be a Kansas City Chief. Big year last year… I don’t know what we’re doing. 10.5 sacks last year.

“I know you drafted R Mason Thomas in the second round, but you can’t have too many of these, especially if you want to get back to greatness and win the Super Bowl.”

Cameron Jordan makes perfect sense for the Kansas City Chiefs, and Brett Veach should be on the phone as we speak

There isn’t a lot that needs to be said about Jordan other than what Adams said, above. Most fans know who he is. He’s been around for 15 years now, and he’s been one of the best to do it during that time.

A model of consistency, Jordan has topped double-digit sacks in seven of his 15 NFL seasons. In another five, he’s had at least 7.5.

I’m not sure how much more consistent you could get over a span that large.

Now, after spending his entire career with the New Orleans Saints, many believe he could wind up signing with another team after all these years. And, the Chiefs make sense.

Kansas City may have to depend on their defense for a few games, to begin the regular season, as they await Patrick Mahomes’ return from a torn ACL. With Steve Spagnuolo at the helm, adding a player like Jordan gives him the ultimate luxury.

Jordan would come in as a player you hardly have to coach. He has built up a reputation as a player who you know is going to do his job, be a strong leader in the locker room, and give full effort on every play.

To be able to add the best pass rusher available, at this point in the offseason, would be a total home run for Veach.

Listen to Adams, Brett:

“I think he’s coming back to play and I would like it to be [the Chiefs].”

Go get him.
