Patriots explosive rookie RB makes practice debut after missing Friday

New England Patriots rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson was back at rookie minicamp practice on Saturday afternoon. He missed Friday’s practice for undisclosed reasons.

There’s hope that Henderson could either push Rhamondre Stevenson for the top running back job or serve as a strong complementary option at the position. His explosive running style and pass-blocking abilities are two of his biggest assets. He has also shown off exceptional receiving abilities.

The home run potential is evident every time Henderson has the ball in his hands. So it’ll fall on the Patriots to get him involved as much as possible on offense.

Patriots lead personnel executive Eliot Wolf revealed that Henderson was a player who was unanimously voted as the right draft pick for the team. That says a lot about how the former Ohio State standout is viewed internally.

If he lives up to his potential, the sky is the limit for Henderson in New England.
