BREAKING : šŸ”„ Travis Kelce Under Fire for Controversial Trump Remarks After Super Bowl Loss! šŸˆšŸ˜±

Travis Kelce facing backlash over comments about Donald Trump following Super Bowl loss

It’s been a few days now since the Philadelphia Eagles thrashed the Kansas City Chiefs at the eagerly-anticipated Super Bowl on Sunday (9 February).

The Super Bowl saw a number of dramatic moments – including Kendrick Lamar performing that song during the halftime show as well as Taylor Swift getting booed by the crowd when she was shown up on the jumbotron.

It didn’t take long for Donald Trump, whose appearance marked the first time a sitting American president has attended the major sporting event, to share his thoughts on the uncomfortable incident.

The 78-year-old Republican leader shared a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, which read: ā€œTrump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed.

ā€œThe world is healing!ā€

Prior to such comments, however, Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce was asked what he thought of Trump’s attendance at the game, to which he said it was a ā€˜great honour’.

He continued: ā€œI think, you know, no matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life, you know, and having the president there, you know, it’s the best country in the world. So, that’d be pretty cool.ā€

And it’s clear his previous comments haven’t gone down well with fans, with many rushing to social media to slam the Chiefs tight end following the 40-22 loss to the Eagles.

One X user hit out: ā€œMaybe if Travis Kelce didn’t say he was honoured to play in front of Trump then he would have caught that ball.ā€

A second claimed: ā€œTravis Kelce gave the entire Chiefs team bad juju after saying he was honoured that Trump was gonna be there.ā€

And someone else added: ā€œThe way Travis Kelce said it was an honour to have Trump watch him play just to lose this bad OOOO IM CACKLINGGG!ā€

Following the booing ordeal, Kelce seemingly wasn’t too happy with the jeering towards his girlfriend, as a source close to him reportedly told MailOnline: ā€œTravis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him.

ā€œHe always protects her and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn’t help. Travis knows that this hurt her and anyone can see this.ā€

They also responded to Trump’s response to Swift being booed: ā€œTravis believes that it was unnecessary for Trump to take a dig at her especially after he voiced that he was honoured for a president to be there.ā€

The source concluded: ā€œAfter Taylor being shut out for a Grammy and Travis losing the biggest game of the year it just hasn’t been a good week for them.

ā€œBut he knows that even though this is not a happy ending to the season having her love gives him so much joy.ā€

Tyla has previously reached out to Travis Kelce’s representatives for comment.
