Connor Bedard just continues to produce offensively on his recent tear.
For all the noise surrounding Connor Bedard lately, he has been quite impressive in his second NHL season. He is already the best player on the Chicago Blackhawks at 19 years old and is turning into a superstar.
With two points in the Blackhawks’ most recent win over the Nashville Predators, Bedard passed Steven Stamkos and Jeff Skinner in points (107) by an active player before turning 20 years old with 109. Extending his point streak to three games by adding an assist in the team’s most recent game (a loss to the St. Louis Blues), he is now up to 110 points in his career. Bedard has two players to go to top the list. One is attainable, but the other isn’t.
Bedard is now behind just Patrick Laine (134 points) and Sidney Crosby (222 points) for the most by a teenager in the NHL among active players.
Bedard has the rest of the season to amass points as he doesn’t turn 20 years old until July 17. He has 23 points in his last 22 games and has only been held scoreless in three of those games. Despite the criticism that is coming his way lately, Bedard is doing just fine and with 27 games to go, could top Laine on that list before the end of the season.
