BREAKING : Deebo Samuel Reveals His Rooting Interest for Chiefs-Eagles Super Bowl LIX

Sports News, Videos, Pictures & Scores | Wichita Eagle

A rematch of Super Bowl LVII is set between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles when the two teams meet in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9.

Ahead of the matchup, many have begun unveiling their predictions, with DraftKings Sportsbook listing the Chiefs as 1 1/2-point favorites heading into next weekend’s clash.

One key figure who has revealed his rooting interest for the game is San Francisco 49ers star Deebo Samuel. After losing to the Chiefs twice in his career in the Super Bowl, there’s no love lost between Samuel and Kansas City. As a result, he’s hoping for an Eagles victory this time around, which he made clear on his podcast “Cleats and Convos With Deebo Samuel.”

“I got love, hate for both, but I got all love for my brother A.J. Brown over there, so I definitely want to see them win.” Samuel said. “I definitely don’t want to see Mahomes get his third one. So, yeah, I’m rocking with A.J. and Saquon on this one for sure.”

Deebo Samuel does NOT want to see Patrick Mahomes three-peat and is rooting for the #Eagles to beat the #Chiefs in the Super Bowl:

The Chiefs are aiming to win their third consecutive Lombardi Trophy and their fourth in the last six seasons. Kansas City has continued to find ways to win year after year, led by star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Under his leadership, the Chiefs have made it to the AFC Championship Game for seven straight seasons since he became the starter, with the only postseason losses coming against Tom Brady twice – once with the Patriots and once with the Buccaneers – and the Cincinnati Bengals led by Joe Burrow, who defeated the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium three seasons ago.

If Kansas City manages to three-peat, they would become the first American professional sports team to win three straight championships since the Los Angeles Lakers accomplished the feat in the NBA from 2000-2002, led by the dynamic duo of Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal.
