Seth Jones scored the go-ahead goal in the second period and also had two assists and Tyler Bertuzzi scored twice as the Chicago Blackhawks snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-3 victory over the visiting Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday night.

Lukas Reichel and Taylor Hall also scored goals, Teuvo Teravainen had two assists and Petr Mrazek made 32 saves for Chicago, which scored its first-ever regulation home win over the Golden Knights in nine tries.

Tomas Hertl scored twice and also had an assist, Shea Theodore had two assists and Victor Olofsson also scored for Vegas, which matched its season-long losing streak with its third straight loss and fifth in six games. Ilya Samsonov finished with 18 saves.

Chicago Blackhawks beat Vegas Golden Knights 5-3 to snap skid

Vegas took a 1-0 lead midway through the first period on Olofsson’s 100th career goal, a one-timer from the right circle off a crossing pass from Alex Pietrangelo.

Chicago answered with three goals in the final four minutes of the first period to take a 3-1 lead. Reichel tied it when he took the puck off the boards at the Vegas blue line and then cut around Nicolas Hague and beat Samsonov with a backhand-to-forehand shot past the blocker side for his first goal in 18 games.

Bertuzzi followed 40 seconds later with a power-play goal, redirecting a Jones point shot. Hall made it 3-1 at the 19:42 mark when he put in a rebound of a Patrick Maroon rebound try.

The Golden Knights bounced back to tie it, 3-3, in the second period on a pair of goals by Hertl. The first came off a stretch pass from Theodore, driving around former Golden Knight Alec Martinez and then putting a wrist shot over Mrazek’s right shoulder. The second came on a power play with a high slot tip of a Theodore shot past a Mark Stone screen.

Chicago regained the lead, 4-3, at the 18:58 mark when Jones, left alone in the right circle, crept in and fired a wrist shot inside the far post past Samsonov’s blocker side for what proved to be the game-winner.

Bertuzzi, stationed alone by left post, put the Blackhawks back up by two goals early in the third period with his second power-play goal of the game, tipping in a Teravainen pass for his team-leading 16th goal.
