Packers News: Christian Watson’s Dad Has Rough Estimate When His Son Will Come Back From Devastating ACL Injury In 2025

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson (9) leaves the field in the fourth quarter after getting injured against the New Orleans Saints during their football game Monday, December 23, 2024, at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Green Bay Packers will be without Christian Watson for most of 2025, as the 25-year-old wide receiver suffered a torn ACL during the team’s Week 18 loss against the Chicago Bears. His absence is a huge blow for their offense since it gives Jordan Love one less target.

Tazim Wajid Wajed (Christian Watson’s father) provided a clearer update about his son’s injury status via his X (formerly known as Twitter). The former Green Bay Packers player is confident that Christian Watson will return around Week 12 next season.

“He’ll have his surgery soon, and should be back around Week 12, with a normal rehab. There’s nothing outside of what’s typical with his injury. Simple ACL and minor cleanup,” he wrote. “He’s just doing usual pre-surgery strengthening prehab to get ahead of any post-surgical atrophy! He remains in good spirits and ready to attack this with everything he’s got! 👊🏾”

The Green Bay Packers need a bona fide WR1 alongside quarterback Jordan Love next season, and the fans floated the idea of a potential Davante Adams reunion, given his situation in New York.

Tazim Wajid Wajed likes the idea of Adams returning to Green Bay, calling him an “excellent addition.”

“Davante Adams would be an excellent addition to this Packers roster… Even so, the philosophy needs to adjust to make the move one that injects consistency into the passing game!” he wrote on his X while answering a fan’s question.
