Tuesday Cheese Curds: Packers must avoid unforced errors to reach their full potential - Acme Packing Company

Stop me if you’ve heard this one, but the Packers have had some issues with self-inflicted problems over the course of the 2024 season.

From penalties to drops to untimely turnovers, the Packers have been perhaps their own biggest enemy this year, though the Lions and Vikings still loom pretty large. But that’s kind of the point — as tough as the Packers’ opponents have been this year, they’re made all the tougher by the fact that the Packers consistently do the other team’s job for them.

Things have been trending up over the past couple of weeks. The Packers seem to be cleaning up their issues with drops a bit, and penalties have dropped. But the team’s self-inflicted errors remain a lingering issue, and until the Packers play a clean game against a good team, they’ll be a persistent worry for Packers fans — to say nothing of what Matt LaFleur must think.
