The Dallas Cowboys took some big swings in the offseason.

They made two massive trades. The first brought wide receiver George Pickens to town to pair with CeeDee Lamb. The second sent Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers.

With a number of new signings and draft picks aboard, too, the Cowboys hoped for this to be a big season for themselves.

It has not turned out quite as they hoped, though.

Can the Cowboys still make the playoffs?

No, the Dallas Cowboys have been officially eliminated from the playoffs.

Entering Week 16, Dallas needed to win its final three games while the Eagles lost their final three games to flip the NFC East standings.

But on Saturday, the Eagles already played, and they took care of business against the Washington Commanders.

Philadelphia will be the division champ. Dallas will just have to play out the string.

The Cowboys, for now, plan to play their first-stringers down the stretch, although that could potentially change in a week or two.
