Patriots make two moves ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills - Yahoo Sports

All was not quiet on the eve before one of the biggest games of the year for the New England Patriots.

The team announced on Saturday that they were downgrading injured edge rusher K’Lavon Chaisson to out for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. They also activated veteran linebacker Jahlani Tavai for the game.

Tavai spent the first four games on injured reserve, so his return should be a nice boost for the linebacker unit. Meanwhile, Chaisson has been one of the team’s top edge rushers across from Harold Landry. His absence likely means more reps for Keion White, who could use a breakout game against quarterback Josh Allen and the unbeaten Bills.

The good news for the Patriots is the fact that star defensive tackle Milton Williams made the trip for Sunday’s game, which gives him a chance to play. He has been hobbled by an ankle injury that kept him out of practice on Thursday.

However, he did return as a limited participant on Friday.
