BREAKING NEWS : Massive trade could be brewing between Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys

The Buffalo Bills are gearing up to host the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season. Ahead of that, though, the Bills made the surprising decision to sign veteran defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, who is now on his fourth stint with the team.

The Bills already had a deep defensive line. With the addition of Phillips, they now have six interior defensive linemen that could see playing time. Obviously, the Bills aren’t going to keep all six defensive tackles, which has led to speculation that they could be loading up a package for a potentially big trade.

Both Micah Parsons and Trey Hendrickson are in the midst of contract battles with their respective teams. Neither Parsons nor Hendrickson have reached agreements with the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals, respectively. Considering the fact that the Bills’ biggest issue in their nearly-annual postseason loss to the Kansas City Chiefs is that they can’t get pressure on Patrick Mahomes, landing a top-tier edge rusher could be what gets them over the top. Parsons is the name I’d pay the most attention to, considering Dallas is in a different conference and things seem too far gone between player and organization.

Buffalo signed Joey Bosa this past offseason, and extended Greg Rousseau, but Bosa isn’t what he used to be and his health is always a question. And while Rousseau isn’t a bad player by any means, he’s also not a game-changing pass rusher. While there would need to be cap gymnastics done to make things work, they can be done. If the Bills can land Parsons or Hendrickson, they should do whatever it takes to do so.
