Sports media personality Colin Cowherd has made his stance on quarterbacks who wear backwards hats clear over the years. Apparently he is also not a fan of head coaches who wear backwards visors.

Cowherd recently called out Dallas Cowboys first-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer after he showed up to a press conference with his vizor on backwards.

The current Fox Sports 1 and former longtime ESPN broadcaster believes Schottenheimer looked unprofessional.

“You know I don’t like backward hats. What’s worse is a backwards visor,“ Colin Cowherd said. ”That’s a two-win team. I’m taking away four wins. That’s awful. That is so bad.”

As Cowherd pointed out, Schottenheimer is holding his press conference in front of a Bank of America ad. He doesn’t believe that Bank of America would approve of Schottenheimer’s attire.

“Bank of America is behind him. It’s a big sponsor. And so, I do think if you’re the head coach or the quarterback of an organization, and you do press conferences, you’re not only representing yourself; that’s very selfish and narcissistic. You are representing the Dallas Cowboys, and you’re representing Bank of America,“ Cowherd said.

“That’s probably a huge team sponsor. They probably paid 8 million bucks, or something like that, 7 million bucks to the Cowboys. … So when you sit in front of a podium, you’re representing the Cowboys, you’re representing Bank of America, you’re representing a $12 billion corporation.”

There is no dress code in the NFL that coaches must follow for press conferences, but Cowherd believes that Schottenheimer should take it upon himself to dress more professionally.

“I do think when you are in front of the team logo and big bank sponsor, which everybody has… you want to look the part,” Cowherd said. “I don’t want to look like a guy who’s here to move my couch.”

Brian Schottenheimer had a little fun during his press conference after Cowherd’s comments.

According to Cowboys beat reporter Joseph Hoyt, Schottenheimer sat down for a press conference with his visor on backwards, before turning it around.

“Oh, my bad, sorry Colin Cowherd,” he reportedly said, before laughing.
