The 49ers receiver lost his temper as San Fran pulled off a 23-20 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Samuel was left frustrated after watching kicker Jake Moody miss three field goal attempts in a row.
And the 28-year-old confronted Moody on the sidelines before long-snapper Taybor Pepper stepped in to try and diffuse the situation.
Samuel’s frustrations boiled over and the star receiver lashed out at Moody, taking a swing at both him and Pepper and making contact with their helmets.
The high-tension moment happened after Moody had missed his FG attempts from 44, 49 and 50 yards in a tight game.
But the second-year kicker soon made good on his mistakes when, with just three seconds left, Moody squeezed a field goal inside the right upright to win the game for the 49ers and extend their record to 5-4.
Speaking after the game, Samuel explained that things got heated but everything was okay, commending Moody for his game-winning kick.
He said: “Normally I don’t even get like that, but just frustrated in the heat of battle.
“[It was] a close game and I kind of got out of character a little bit, but I’ll talk to Moody and we’ll get past it.”

Adding: “I think he [Moody] has a little dog in him, I wasn’t saying nothing crazy to him.
“I was just kind of frustrated at the time. But he went out there and won the game of course, and he wasn’t bothered by it, so we move past it.”
Moody shared a similar sentiment, saying “there doesn’t need to be” any sort of apology or discussion from Samuel.
While Pepper sympathised with the pressure that sits on Moody in a tight game, explaining that’s why he stepped up to defend him.
He said: “It’s hard being a specialist. Sometimes, it’s feast or famine.
“Football is high emotion. Jake was having a little rough patch there, so [I was] standing up for Jake.
“There was still time on the clock, so the game wasn’t over. Everybody knows what happened at the end.
“It’s not over until the clocks hit zero. They all count three when it’s a field goal. I’ve always got 4’s back.”
