BREAKING: 49ers WR Deebo Samuel Goes Viral For Fighting His Own Kicker

49ers WR Deebo Samuel Goes Viral For Fighting His Own Kicker - Athlon Sports

Tempers flared in Sunday’s game between the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers as wide receiver Deebo Samuel got into it with some special teamers. San Francisco came into the game at 4-4 after beating the Dallas Cowboys in its last game.

After the third missed field goal of the day, long snapper Taybor Pepper and kicker Jake Moody were on the receiving end of Samuel’s frustration. The clip shows Samuel grabbing Pepper’s neck and taking a swipe at Moody.

Moody then tried to hold Pepper back after the long snapper had some words for the San Francisco wideout.

The third missed field goal came during the fourth quarter, with San Francisco only up 20-17. Tampa Bay tied the game at 20 on the following drive with a 26-yard field goal from kicker Chase McLaughlin with 41 seconds left.

However, Moody was given a chance to redeem himself on the game’s final drive.

The 49ers’ offense started on their own 35-yard line, and quarterback Brock Purdy went to work. Purdy led the offense down the field, eventually hitting receiver Jauan Jennings for a 13-yard pass to put San Francisco in position for a game-winning field goal on the Tampa Bay 26-yard line.

Purdy spiked the ball with three seconds left, putting the game on Moody’s foot. Moody redeemed himself and hit a game-winning 44-yard field goal to give San Francisco the 23-20 victory as time expired.

With the win, the 49ers moved to 5-4 and will next take on the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 17. Kickoff is at 4:05 p.m. ET on Fox.
