Nick Bosa has yet to hear from the NFL over his decision to send a political message during last week’s “Sunday Night Football” game, but the San Francisco 49ers star clearly has no regrets.

After the 49ers beat the Dallas Cowboys 30-24 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., last Sunday, Bosa interrupted an interview between NBC’s Melissa Stark and several of his teammates to proudly display a “Make America Great Again” hat. You can see the video here.

Bosa, of course, was showing his support for Donald Trump. NFL rules state that players cannot display personal messages on non-sponsored branding at any point throughout a game. Players who violate that rule are subject to a $11,255 fine.

Trump defeated Kamala Harris to win the 2024 U.S. presidential election on Tuesday night. Bosa was asked on Wednesday if he has been fined by the NFL, and he said he has not heard anything yet. He then sent a strong message about Trump’s decisive victory.

“I don’t know. I haven’t gotten (a fine) yet, but if it comes, it comes,” Bosa said. “It was well worth it. I don’t think my position on speaking about it is gonna change. Clearly, the nation spoke and we got what we got.”

Bosa also said he had “fun” on election night and that he stayed up to see the results.

NBC initially edited out the portion of the on-field interview where Bosa appeared with his MAGA hat, but the network added the footage back after receiving backlash. Bosa has said nothing that indicates he feels he did anything wrong. Trump’s landslide win probably made him feel even better about supporting the 45th and 47th U.S. president.
