49ers’ Nick Bosa Breaks Silence on Donald Trump Support After Beating Kamala Harris in 2024 Election

49ers' Nick Bosa Breaks Silence on Donald Trump Support After Beating Kamala Harris in 2024 Election - Newsweek

Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election and will become the 47th President of the United States of America.

On Wednesday, San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa, who has long been a supporter of Trump, was asked about his thoughts on the election coverage Tuesday night.

“It was fun,” Bosa said. “Good time. Stayed up.”

Bosa, who flashed a “Make American Great Again” hat after the 49ers’ Week 8 Sunday Night Football matchup, was asked if he had been fined from the NFL.

“I haven’t got one yet,” Bosa said. “But if it comes, it comes.”

He added: “It was well worth it.”

Bosa initially declined to answer questions about the statement after he made it last Sunday. On Wednesday, he took a similar stance, but added a little bit more.

“I don’t think my position on speaking about it is gonna change,” Bosa said. “Clearly, the nation spoke, and we got what we got.”

The election was called for Trump late Tuesday night on the West Coast, early Wednesday morning on the East Coast. Trump spoke on the night of the election, while Harris gave her closing remarks on Wednesday afternoon.

As for the 49ers, the team is coming off a bye week in Week 9. The 49ers enter their Week 10 matchup at 4-4, and in somewhat unfamiliar territory after winning the NFC West each of the last two seasons.

The 49ers are coming off a Super Bowl appearance this past season, and are hoping to finally get over the hump after losing two Super Bowls in the last five years.

Bosa is one of the key contributors for the 49ers on defense, and has 4.5 sacks through the first eight games of the season. Bosa made his fourth Pro Bowl appearance in 2023, and was named the Defensive Player of the Year in 2022 after he had a league-high 18.5 sacks.

Bosa and the 49ers will look for a much better second half of the season as they look to get back to the playoffs in 2024.
