The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for Sunday’s big game against the Philadelphia Eagles as they try to accomplish the unprecedented three-peat. In a rematch of Super Bowl 57, the Chiefs are hoping to get another one over the Eagles.
On FanDuel Sportsbook, the Chiefs are 1.5-point favorites to win the Lombardi Trophy. They have been playing their best football throughout the postseason and are healthy heading into the Super Bowl.
However, they had one minor disadvantage heading into the game. For practices, the Eagles used the Saints facility while the Chiefs had to make do with the inferior accommodations at Tulane. While it’s customary for the host city to allow the team from their conference to use its facilities, this is still not an ideal situation for the Chiefs.

Chiefs Install Grass Surface at Tulane’s Field for Super Bowl Practices
According to Tucker Franklin of KC Sports Network, the Chiefs installed a grass surface over the turf at Tulane’s playing field.
This is interesting because the game will be played on artificial turf at Caesars Superdome. The previous two Super Bowls that the Chiefs won were played on a natural grass surface that rolled in and out of the venue.
The previous Super Bowl matchup between the sides was played on slippery conditions at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ, which caused a few Eagles players to change their cleats mid-game.
Even though the game will be played on synthetic turf, the Chiefs are choosing to practice on grass surface. Whether this makes any difference on Sunday remains to be seen.
