Patrick Mahomes could soon play with Zach Wilson, quarterback for the Denver Broncos. Wilson did not have much space in the Denver Broncos to prove himself as quarterback, especially with Bo Nix doing quite decently. According to Cody Benjamin from CBS, Wilson might soon join the Kansas City Chiefs as a replacement for Carson Wentz.
Zach Wilson started his football career by playing college football for the BYU Cougars. Wilson was the second pick in the 1st round of the 2021 NFL draft and was selected by the New York Jets where he played from 2021 to 2023. The Denver Broncos took him in 2024, but the player might soon leave the squad.
“Wilson once drew lofty comparisons to Mahomes’ backyard play style. The ex-Jets flop could make for an Andy Reid project,” Cody Benjamin from CBS reported.
Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up to face the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9th after defeating the AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills.
One of the most important reasons for Kansas City’s success in the last few seasons is their head coach, Andy Reid. If Zach Wilson were to indeed play for the Chiefs soon, analysts and fans are hoping that Reid will work his magic with this quarterback as well.
Patrick Mahomes Is A Talented Ping-Pong Player
In other news, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has also revealed himself to be a fantastic ping-pong player. While everyone knows that Mahomes is talented in football, in a recent interview the player revealed that he is great at ping-pong, and not that everyone knows this.
In the interview, Mahomes was asked about what his interests are outside of football. To the question, the quarterback revealed that he loves to play Call of Duty, apart from golf, which his fans and followers know well.
Patrick Mahomes is doing pretty well in this season, and is eager to grab his third Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs. In the most recent AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills, the quarterback scored a single TD for 245 yards, completing 18 passes out of 26 attempts.
In the 2024 NFL season, the quarterback covered a total of 3,928 yards, scoring 26 touchdowns, while managing 11 interceptions. Mahomes joined the Chiefs back in 2017, after being selected as the tenth pick in the 1st round of the 2017 NFL draft.
