The Baltimore Ravens’ hopes for a Super Bowl berth crumbled in a heartbreaking loss to the Buffalo Bills during the AFC Divisional Round.
With Buffalo now headed to face the Kansas City Chiefs, it’ll face the daunting task of challenging a team that has dominated the AFC with two consecutive Super Bowl victories and four conference titles in five seasons.
Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey didn’t hold back his feelings about the upcoming AFC Championship matchup.
“I have no reason of saying this other than being a hater. The Bills or whatever NFC team gotta beat the Chiefs. We can’t let them keep getting away with this,” Humphrey wrote on X.

His frustration stems from fresh wounds. The Ravens nearly derailed the Chiefs’ dynasty run in last season’s AFC Championship, but two costly turnovers in the second half shattered their dreams.
It’s a particularly bitter pill for Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, who despite brilliant regular seasons hasn’t reached the NFL’s biggest stage.
The Bills know this pain all too well. They’ve faced the Chiefs three times during the Josh Allen-Patrick Mahomes era and have fallen short each time.
The defeats sting deeper with each encounter: the 2020 AFC Championship, 2021 AFC Divisional Round, and last season’s playoff showdown in Buffalo.
Now, as they prepare for another trip to Kansas City, they carry the hopes of NFL fans yearning for a new AFC champion.
While Humphrey’s candid take may draw chuckles, it might just backfire.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has a gift for turning such comments into motivation.
He’s perfected the art of rallying his squad, and if Humphrey’s words reach Kansas City’s locker room, they could provide exactly the spark the Chiefs are looking for.
