BREAKING: Chiefs Issue Five-Word Travis Kelce Message After Win Over Texans

Chiefs Send 5-Word Travis Kelce Message After Playoff Win Over Texans - Athlon Sports

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are heading to their seventh consecutive AFC Championship Game after defeating the Houston Texans 23-14 in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs.

The Chiefs entered the game with some fresh legs, as many of the starters, including Kelce, had not played since Week 17. And the break may have had the biggest impact on the tight end.

Kelce finished the game with seven catches for 117 yards and one touchdown. He tallied more receiving yards in his one playoff game than he had in any game during the regular season. The former Cincinnati Bearcats star also eclipsed the 100-yard mark for just the second time this year.

On Sunday, the Chiefs took to social media to share their appreciation for their tight end with a post highlighting Kelce’s performance.

NFL and Kansas City fans were quick to take notice of the latest post, taking to social media to leave their thoughts on it.

“Every year, same dominance,” one fan said.

“Kelce going for big yards after catch while protecting the ball. Love to see it. Playoffs baby,” wrote another.

“Playoff Trav is a whole vibe,” added a third.

“He’s a monster on the field,” commented a fourth.

“No lies detected,” posted a fifth.

Kelce and the Chiefs finished the regular season with a 15-2 record, good for the No. 1 seed in the AFC. However, it wasn’t the best year for Kelce statistically, recording 97 catches for 823 yards and only three touchdowns.

Still, Kansas City is heading back to the conference championship, where they will face the winner of the game between the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens.
