Andy Reid Reveals Exciting Roster News Before NFL Playoffs | Yardbarker

The Kansas City Chiefs are heading into the NFL playoffs looking to win their third straight Super Bowl title.

As the Chiefs look to be the first-ever team to secure a three-peat, the health of team has been a huge priority.

Kansas City will have around two weeks of rest before the divisional round of the playoffs after securing a first-round bye.

Ahead of Wild Card weekend, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid revealed massive news about the team’s injury report.

Reid confirmed that starters Chris Jones, Isiah Pacheco and Jawaan Taylor are headed the right direction in terms of recovery from previous injuries.

“They are all doing well,” Reid said.

Reid mentioned that all three players practiced on Friday. Each starter was ruled out of the Chiefs’ Week 18 matchup against the Denver Broncos.

 

Jones is currently nursing a calf injury. The Pro Bowl defensive tackle has recorded one forced fumble five sacks and 37 tackles this season.

Pacheco has recorded one touchdown and 310 yards on 83 carries. He’s currently working through a rib injury. The running back missed ample time earlier in the season, while working through a fractured fibula.

Taylor is dealing with a knee injury, which he suffered against the Houston Texans in Week 16.

The Chiefs will be playing their first game of the postseason on Jan. 18 or Jan. 19, depending on the conclusion of the Wild Card round.

Kansas City finished the regular season with a 15-2 record, starting the year on a nine-game win streak.
