The Chicago Blackhawks scored three unanswered goals to win 3-1 over the Colorado Avalanche Wednesday. With the win, the Blackhawks improved to 14-25-2 of the season.
The game kicked off with the Colorado Avalanche scoring the first goal to make it 1-0 on a goal from Jusso Parssinen, scoring a Patrick Kane-type backhand top shelf past Petr Mrazek. This was Parssinen’s first goal with the Avs since he was acquired in a trade with the Nashville Predators.
Then the Blackhawks answered back.
The Blackhawks answered right back on a goal from Illya Mikheyev, tying the game up at one. Mikheyev notched his eighth goal of the season, scoring in the crease.

The game was knotted 1-1 at the end of one.
In the second period, The Blackhawks broke the tie on a goal from Frank Nazar. He scored on the rebound for his first goal of the season to give the Blackhawks a 2-1 lead.

Connor Bedard scored in the second period for Chicago, but the goal was called back due to a distinct kicking motion.
The Avalanche had some key chances on the man advantage but Petr Mrazek made a couple of big-time saves to keep the Blackhawks in front at the end of forty minutes of play.
In the third period, Connor Bedard would give the Hawks a 3-1 lead, with a wrist shot from the right circle. The Blackhawks had a chance to ice it away with an empty-netter but failed to do so. Nonetheless, they came out on top with a 3-1 win against a big-time team like the Colorado Avalanche.
