The Detroit Lions just won one of the more highly anticipated regular season games of recent memory.  Detroit improved to 15-2 when they took down the Minnesota Vikings (14-3) in dominant fashion.  31-9 was the final that secured Detroit’s number one seed in the NFC.

However, what happened in the stands is gaining just as much attention.

It is no secret that the Minnesota Vikings are one of the best teams in the NFL, especially after ending the season 14-3. In spite of this, they will be playing in Los Angeles during Wildcard Weekend due to the playoff seeding.

However, one fan’s experience at Ford Field has taken center stage:

There was no answer to Dan Campbell’s offensive attack, and Sam Darnold failed to even hit the 200-yard passing mark in the Vikings’ 31-to-9 loss during their week 18 game. However, the action on the field may have been overshadowed by some actions off the field.

According to MLFootball, one Minnesota Vikings super fan who decided to attend the final NFL game of the Vikings 2024 Regular season claimed that a member of the opposing fandom assaulted his pregnant wife.

Here is a look at a portion of Sir Death’s full post:

I used to like Lions fans, because I know a lot of the real Detroit fans who have been around longer than 2 seasons, and they are cool people.
Those are the people we tailgated with yesterday, and they were wonderful.
Sad to say, I think they are a small minority of the overall fanbase.
The only place I’ve ever seen fans act trashier in a stadium is the Black Hole in Oakland.
Now that they are good for the first time in team history, the bandwagon Detroit fans that have come out of the closet are some of the most pathetic, toxic, and classless fans I’ve ever seen on social media.
Detroit fans, I’m sorry to tell you, but Packer fans are so much better than you it’s laughable.
A fan base isn’t judged by how the team performs, but by how the fans act. You haven’t learned that yet.
