Packers Injury Report: 3 contributors questionable vs. Jaguars - Acme Packing Company

Three significant players for the Green Bay Packers were listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report of the week on Friday. Center Josh Myers (wrist), defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt (ankle) and linebacker Quay Walker (concussion) are all question marks going into this weekend’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, despite the players practicing the last two or three practices this week.

If Myers can’t play, the likely replacement at center will be Elgton Jenkins, who is currently playing left guard for the team. This is the look the Packers have deployed in the past, which means that first-round pick Jordan Morgan will get the bump up to a full-time guard position. Morgan has played roughly one-third of the snaps in games he’s been healthy for as Green Bay has tried to slowly work him into the lineup at right guard, where Sean Rhyan is starting.

Wyatt is the Packers’ penetrating defensive tackle option to spell T.J. Slaton, the team’s 330-pound starter next to Kenny Clark. Wyatt’s missed the last couple of games but finally returned to the field this week. He has yet to be a full participant in a practice since his injury against the Minnesota Vikings left him in a walking boot after the game.

Walker went down with a concussion last week and was replaced by Eric Wilson, who previously rotated as an outside linebacker, at the middle linebacker position. If Walker is out again in this one, the assumption is that Isaiah McDuffie and Edgerrin Cooper will play outside linebacker full-time with Wilson in the middle.

Cornerback Corey Balentine (ankle), a reserve player who also contributes on special teams, was listed as doubtful by the team on Friday. He has been a non-participant in practice all week.

On the Jacksonville Jaguars’ end of the injury report, running back Travis Etienne Jr. (hamstring), left tackle Cam Robinson (concussion) and linebacker Foye Oluokun (foot) were all listed as questionable versus the Packers. All three are starters. It’s worth noting that Oluokun is technically on the injured reserve but he has been designated to return and the Jaguars have opened up his practice window.
