Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals kept their NFL playoff hopes alive following a 30-24 Week 17 overtime win over the Denver Broncos.
Now, the Bengals will need a lot to happen in Week 18 in order to make the postseason. First, they will need to win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. That is a given. Second, the Broncos will need to lose their final regular season game against a Kansas City Chiefs team that will likely be resting their starters. Finally, the Miami Dolphins must also fall to the New York Jets.
Before all the chaos begins, the NFL announced the Pro Bowl rosters on Thursday morning.
Burrow, in his fifth season in the league, has been named as one of the quarterbacks to make the Pro Bowl.

Burrow is joined by five other quarterbacks, including the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson, Bills’ Josh Allen, Commanders’ Jayden Daniels, Vikings’ Sam Darnold, and Lions’ Jared Goff. This will mark the former LSU Heisman winner’s second appearance in the game, with his first coming in 2022.
Along with Burrow, the Bengals have two other stars named to this season’s Pro Bowl: wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and defensive end Trey Hendrickson.
If it weren’t for the Bengals’ 8-8 record, Burrow would likely be the favorite in the MVP race. Through 16 games, the star has completed 423-of-606 passes for 4,641 passing yards (1st in the NFL), 42 touchdowns (1st) and eight interceptions. He has also added 202 yards and two scores on the ground.
After starting the season 4-8, Burrow has led the Bengals to four consecutive victories, avoiding playoff elimination and making an unlikely run at a playoff spot. They will face the Steelers on Saturday, Jan. 4, at 8:00 p.m. ET.
