The Washington Commanders punched their ticket to the playoffs in Week 17, and now, to finish the regular season, they get another crack at the Dallas Cowboys.
With an injury-depleted Cowboys team taking bragging rights at Northwest Stadium in Week 12, 34-26, the Commanders will no doubt want retribution for that loss.
Often known as “Dallas week,” Washington has a chance to exclamation mark their fine work this season while continuing the Cowboys’ misery.
For Jayden Daniels, he’s ready for the latest installment of this storied rivalry.
“Obviously, that’s not how we wanted the first game to end, but that happens,” Daniels said of the Week 12 matchup. “They got really good players over there, very talented players and you got to go out there and be physical with them. That’s what they’re going to do with us, so it’s going to be a heavyweight match, and it’s going to be a good one to be a part of.”
While it might not be a heavyweight matchup given the injuries the Cowboys are playing with, and if we are being truthful, Washington has a good chance to win this game and head into the playoffs on a five-game winning streak.
But this is the NFL, and as we saw in Week 12, nothing can be taken for granted. Head coach Dan Quinn stated his team will be all gas, with no brakes, as they look to finish the season on a high.
And what better way to do it than to hand Dallas another loss at AT&T Stadium?
