Running back Chase Brown (ankle) wouldn’t have practiced Tuesday and he didn’t Wednesday as he’s recovering from a high-ankle sprain. Head coach Zac Taylor told reporters Tuesday they’ll take it day-to-day with him after he suffered his injury late last Saturday against the Denver Broncos.

Edge defender Sam Hubbard (knee) and tight end Drew Sample (groin) were the other DNPs Wednesday. Hubbard has been out since tearing his PCL in Week 15.

Left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. (fibula), quarterback Joe Burrow (right wrist/knee), wide receiver Tee Higgins (ankle/knee), tight end Tanner Hudson (knee), defensive tackle Kris Jenkins Jr. (knee), wide receiver Charlie Jones (groin), and right tackle Amarius Mims (ankle/hand) were all limited and would’ve been Tuesday as well. Edge defender Trey Hendrickson was also limited with a half-rest day. Backup swing Devin Cochran returned to the team after his child was born yesterday.

Hudson injured his knee in practice leading up to Week 16 and was limited last week. Jones hasn’t played since Week 8. Everyone else played last week and are expected to play Saturday.

Everyone on the Steelers’ roster practiced Wednesday and only linebacker Cole Holcomb (knee), defensive tackle Logan Lee (calf), and cornerback Donte Jackson (back) were limited. Jackson went full Tuesday so it’s possible he suffered his injury during Wednesday’s practice
