Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and 14-time Grammy-winning artist Taylor Swift have dominated the news cycle this weekend simply for existing.
The Chiefs dominated the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 29-10 win on Christmas, giving Kelce and company some extra time off before next weekend’s game against the Denver Broncos. He immediately took advantage of that time off by flying to New York City to spend time with Swift.
On Friday night the couple was spotted out in the city in coordinator outfits enjoying dinner with Swift’s friend Jack Antonoff and actress Margaret Qualley. Just 24 hours later, the couple was back out in the city, but this time with Swift’s good friend Ashley Avignone.
Following both date nights, fans noticed that Kelce always helps his girlfriend down the stairs.
“the steps hate to see him coming,” one Swift fan page said with a cut-up of several date nights ending the same way – with Kelce helping Swift down the steps.
“If Trav could wrap her in bubble wrap I guarantee he would. He knows he hooked some previous cargo,” one fan said.

“The way he went down the stairs slowly this time so Tay wouldn’t trip>>>” added another.
It’s been a good week for Kelce and the Chiefs, who locked up the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoff race with the Christmas win over the Steelers. The star tight end also set the franchise record for most touchdowns in a career with 77, passing the legendary Tony Gonzalez.
With the No. 1 seed locked up, the Chiefs will have the ability to rest their starters in the final week of the regular season. It also affords the team a bye through the first round of the playoffs, which means the starters could essentially have two weeks off before playing another game.
