WATCH🎥🎥: New Video of Travis Kelce’s Gesture After Chiefs Record Turning Heads

Travis Kelce breaks Tony Gonzalez's record in Christmas Day win as Chiefs clinch AFC's top seed | Marca

On Christmas day Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce made franchise history with his 77th touchdown, passing the mark set by Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez, who had 76 in Kansas City and 111 in his career.

Following the touchdown, Kelce broke out Gonzalez’s iconic celebration, dunking the ball over the goalpost. The move has since been made illegal, which brought a 15-yard penalty when Kelce mimicked the celebration, making the kick a bit tougher for kicker Harrison Butker.

“I knew the score, and I knew that my guy Harrison had my back on the [PAT],” Kelce said after the game, via ESPN. “So, it’s showing Tony some love and just a big tribute to who he’s been in this, not only this organization but who he’s been for football, and we know how iconic it was that he would dunk the ball over the goalpost all the time. I gave my best effort. I don’t know if I did it quite like him.”

After the dunk, two officials threw a flag, the last of which created another iconic moment for Kelce as he gestured like he was throwing a flag. Fans couldn’t get enough of the gesture.

“Him mocking the ref throwing the flag. We so backkkk,” one fan said with video of the play.

“I remember the game years ago when young Travis threw the flag back toward the ref. Look at him now,” joked another.

“He looked directly at the ref as he dunked,” added another with laughing emojis.

“Now that’s the Travis Kelce we know and love,” offered another.

Kelce and the Chiefs starters will likely get a break from head coach Andy Reid next weekend as the face off against the Denver Broncos with the No. 1 seed in the AFC already in their back pocket.
