Cowboys Star Micah Parsons Reacts to Troubling Update Ahead of Eagles Game - Athlon Sports

The Dallas Cowboys have officially ruled out star receiver CeeDee Lamb for the final two games of the season, prompting an interesting reaction from teammate Micah Parsons.

Lamb is dealing with a shoulder injury and decided to shut it down with the Cowboys eliminated from playoff contention. It’s another tough blow for the Dallas offense, which is already functioning without Dak Prescott. The team announced the move on Thursday.

“Additional examinations and scans this week on CeeDee Lamb’s shoulder have determined that his injury has now progressed to a point that he will be listed as ‘Out’ for the remaining two games of the season,” the Cowboys said in a release. “He will undergo a process of treatment and rehabilitation for his shoulder, is not currently expected to require surgery and is projected to make a full recovery.”

Lamb is currently second in the NFL in receptions with 101 and third in yards with 1,194.

With Lamb and Prescott sidelined, Parsons knows the pressure on him and the defense is amplified. In response to the news about Lamb, Parsons shared a GIF of Will Smith standing in an empty room, capturing his sense of isolation as key Cowboys stars continue to drop out.

Parsons recently offered some hefty praise for Lamb, who has four straight 1,000-yard seasons. “He might be the best receiver I’ve seen,” Parsons said per The Athletic’s Jon Machota.

“He’s QB-proof. I’ve seen him get 1,000 (yards) with Andy Dalton. I’ve seen him get 1,000 with Dak Prescott. I’ve seen him get 1,000 with Cooper Rush.”

Parsons has 6.5 sacks over his last five games, and the Cowboys’ defense has been solid over the last few weeks. Dallas faces the NFC East-leading Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
