The Green Bay Packers have made NFL history, securing their 37th playoff appearance, a league record that speaks volumes about their enduring success.
This season’s achievement comes with a fresh face leading the charge: Jordan Love, whose stellar performances have caught the attention of prominent NFL analysts, including Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd.
On Tuesday’s episode of “The Herd,” Cowherd couldn’t contain his excitement about Love’s impressive showing against the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.
His praise went beyond mere compliments, as he boldly suggested Love could follow in the footsteps of Packers legends Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, potentially becoming the third straight Green Bay quarterback to reach Canton.
“Three straight quarterbacks, star, star, star, all three. Favre in the Hall of Fame, Rogers will be and Love looks like he’s on his way,” Cowherd declared.
“Three straight quarterbacks — Star, star, star. Favre is in the Hall of Fame, Rodgers will be and Love looks like he’s on his way.”

The Fox Sports analyst went deeper, highlighting Green Bay’s exceptional approach to quarterback development.
He pointed out an interesting paradox: the Packers’ lack of a traditional owner, often viewed as a disadvantage, has become their secret weapon.
“All Green Bay does is whatever is best for the development of their young quarterback,” Cowherd explained. “It’s all football, because, as owners have gotten richer, all of them are billionaires now and crazier and more impulsive, it gets in the way of the development of the most important position.”
This singular focus on football has created an ideal environment for quarterbacks to flourish. While other teams struggle with impulsive ownership decisions, Green Bay’s steady approach continues to produce results.
Their patient, methodical system has already put Favre in Canton, with Rodgers set to follow, and now Love appears to be following their path.
Love’s journey since taking the reins in 2023 tells its own story. His 18-12 record and playoff victory validate the Packers’ faith in their development process.
Though his game hasn’t seen across-the-board improvements this season, it’s worth noting he’s probably still years away from reaching his peak.
