Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb has posted a 1,000-yard season again, and we still had three games remaining entering tonight’s “Sunday Night Football” outing here at AT&T Stadium. … and now he has 100 catches for the third-straight season.

That now makes it four straight seasons achieving the feat, and when we factor in that Lamb has had backup quarterback Cooper Rush throwing him the ball for six games, it is even better.

While the pair didn’t start in a blaze of glory, they have been starting to heat up over the last month, with Lamb fresh off a 116-yard, one-touchdown game against the Carolina Panthers.

So, the pair’s connection seems to be heading in the right direction, and Lamb says it is getting better.

“Still growing,” Lamb said. I feel like half a season is only so far you can get, but with us I feel like we definitely accelerated through the clouds as far as being in tune with keys, him reading my body language on routes, expecting where I’m going to be. Just being where I need to be, and I feel like with that, fireworks are going to go off, big plays are going to happen. We just got to stick to the script and continue to do that and with that comes success.”

The “growing” is ongoing here in Arlington as in the first half, Lamb has six catches for 100 yards and Dallas is up 20-7 just before intermission.

In a fun twist two minutes before the half, it was announced that Lamb’s nagging shoulder problem was to move him to “questionable to return” … and yet seconds later, there he was back on the field with a wild-effort catch and run to the 1-yard line.

The call was initially a TD on that 100th catch; refs took that score back, leaving Ezekiel Elliott to score the short TD.

And it was all set up by catch No. 99 in a video going viral …

Coming into this game? Since Rush has started, Lamb had 429 yards and two touchdowns from 41 receptions and while that doesn’t standout, when we factor in that CeeDee has been playing with a hurt AFC joint in his shoulder, that’s a solid return.

With no Dak Prescott (six games) and Brandin Cooks (for seven games), it was Lamb or bust for the offense, but he has continued to produce, and his connection with Rush, who is now getting his feet underneath him as the starter, is getting better.
