A Cincinnati Bengals fan won free pizza for the entire stadium on Sunday when the team took on the rival Cleveland Browns. The fan participated in a contest to kick a 40-yard field goal, and he left no doubt in his attempt.

The man booted his kick the distance and more, splitting the uprights down the middle. The crowd erupted while watching the kick sail over the crossbar.

Fans have the opportunity to enter the contest under a variety of different circumstances. An attempt can be taken from the 10-yard line or the 30-yard line in hopes of sending either the entire stadium home with free pizza or booking free pies for a year from Donato’s.

This 40-yarder was for everyone. He wouldn’t let the crowd down!

Cincinnati Bengals Announce Inactives for Sunday's Game vs Cleveland Browns

Not only did the Bengals fan leave the game a hero, but he also outshined Browns kicker Dustin Hopkins. Hopkins didn’t attempt a field goal in the 24-6 loss. He failed to make his only extra point. He finished 0/1 on the day. He caught plenty of flak from the Cleveland fanbase after the fact.

Hopkins has struggled this season, having missed three PATs and nine of his 25 field goals. His frustrations continued to build after Sunday’s performance.

“I need to get better, so I need to make the most of those game reps. But at the same time, I’m like, there definitely will be a part of me that won’t be upset that the season’s over, for us as a team and as an individual.”

-Dustin Hopkins

Hopkins’ miss wouldn’t impact the final outcome as Cleveland fell to 3-12 on the season after being largely uncompetitive. Cincinnati, meanwhile, improved to 7-8 to keep slim playoff hopes alive. This Bengals fan made the biggest kick of the day in an otherwise uneventful matchup.
