BREAKING NEWS : Patriots Fans Had Same Reaction To Mind-Numbing Decision By Defender

Patriots Safety Marte Mapu Preparing 'Like A Coach' For Return From Injured Reserve

Marte Mapu made both a good and not-so-good play on the very same snap.

The Patriots safety intercepted Bills quarterback Josh Allen in the end zone, but his ensuing mind-numbing decision hindered New England from fully benefitting.

Mapu, who caught the arm-punt from Allen a few yards into the end zone, attempted to return it but ultimately was tackled at the New England 1-yard line. It cost the Patriots 19 yards of field position, and set Drake Maye and the offense up in a bad spot. Maye’s offense reached the 20-yard line on its next possession but still was hindered by field position.

Many had the same reaction to Mapu’s head-scratching decision, including those on the in-game broadcasts and others on social media.

Mapu, who fired the football in frustration after he was tackled at the 1-yard line, surely wishes he had it back. Well, the second part of the interception at least.
