The Kansas City Chiefs have revealed their injury report ahead of a Week 16 matchup against the Houston Texans.
While many eyes are focused on the availability of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has been nursing an ankle injury from Week 15, there has also been close attention to offensive tackle D.J. Humphries.
Humphries went down with a hamstring injury in his Chiefs debut against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 14. Throughout the past week, Humphries has been listed as “did not practice” on the injury report.
Following three straight days of being listed as “DNP,” the Chiefs announced Humphries will be sidelined for the matchup against the Texans.
Humphries originally signed with the Chiefs in early December, agreeing to a one-year, $5 million deal. The 30-year-old has ample NFL experience, previously playing eight years with the Arizona Cardinals and being named to the Pro Bowl in 2021.
While the Chiefs wait for Humphries to get back into playing form, they’re heading into a matchup against the Texans as a 3.5-point favorite, per ESPN BET.
Kansas City is hosting the Texans, entering the game with a 13-1 record and a 7-0 record at home. The Chiefs are riding a four-game win streak, having recently defeated the Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Chargers and Cleveland Browns.
