GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Packers rookie linebacker Edgerrin Cooper has won his 2nd NFC Defensive Player of the Week award.
In Cooper’s return from a hamstring injury Sunday in Seattle, he had an interception, sack, 7 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, and another pass breakup as well.
Cooper becomes the first Green Bay rookie to win this award two times, and just the 2nd packer overall with two defensive player of the week awards in the same season (Clay Matthews in 2010 being the other).
The young linebacker previously earned player of the week honors after a strip-sack, PBU, and 8 tackles in a win at Jacksonville.
