Former Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the subject of a recently released Netflix documentary titled “Aaron Rodgers: Enigma.”

In one of the most intriguing parts of the documentary, the future Pro Football Hall of Famer opened about his thoughts following the Packers’ decision to use a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft on Utah State product Jordan Love .

“I looked down at my phone and my agent just texted me: ‘Quarterback.’ And I was like, ‘No f–king way,’” Rodgers said in the documentary.

“Then the pick happens, and I immediately got off the couch and was super non-reactive. And I just went to pour myself some tequila and went back to the couch and knew there was going to be some interesting conversations.”

Rodgers played for three more seasons (including 2020) after Love’s arrival in the NFL. Only when Rodgers was traded by the Packers to the New York Jets in 2023 that Love got the keys to the offense on the field for Green Bay.
