There’s no denying that Taylor Swift is one of, if not the most popular celebrity on the planet right now. At the same time, her boyfriend, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, also happens to be one of the top players in the NFL today.
At this point, one would be hard-pressed to find a more high-profile couple than these two.
Be that as it may, it appears that Swift and Kelce decided to take a different approach for the former’s 35th birthday celebration on Friday. According to a recent report by Page Six, Swift and Kelce decided to go low-key with their festivities on Swift’s special day.
“Travis Kelce pulled out all the stops for Taylor Swift’s 35th birthday Friday night, Page Six has exclusively learned,” read the report.
“We’re told the pop superstar and Kansas City Chief tight end, also 35, rang in the milestone at a private celebration ‘just them two.'”
The fact that Swift and Kelce decided to skip a big bash on the “Eras Tour” headliner’s birthday is a change from the extravagant parties these two have been known for.
Last year, Swift celebrated her 34th birthday in a star-studded bash in New York City. Her star-studded affair featured the likes of Blake Lively, Sabrina Carpenter, Gracie Abrams and Zoe Kravitz, to name a few.
Kelce, on the other hand, turned 35 on Oct. 5. He held his annual Kelce Car Jam, which is a charity event for his Eighty-Seven & Running Foundation.
Later that day, the three-time Super Bowl champion celebrated with his friends — including Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes and brother Jason Kelce — by heading to Midland Theatre in Kansas City to watch comedian Zac Townsend perform.
This time around, however, Swift and Kelce decided to go for an intimate celebration that, according to Page Six, was between “just them too.”
It is unclear if Swift will have another celebration with her family and friends in the coming days, but the couple’s rather unexpected decision to go low-key on Swift’s actual birthday says a lot about their desire to spend quality time with each other amid their busy schedules.
