The Detroit Lions are actually pretty healthy – at least compared to past weeks – heading into their game this weekend against the Buffalo Bills.
Detroit only ruled one player out of Sunday’s game, linebacker Trevor Nowaske, but are expected to have other key players who’ve been banged up, including left tackle Taylor Decker, defensive tackles Alim McNeill and D.J. Reader, and fellow defensive linemen Joshua Paschal and Levi Onwuzurike.
The Lions still have a lot of players on injured reserve, plus many others who are banged up, so it’s hard to say they’re truly a healthy team. However, they’re in a much better spot currently than in many other recent weeks.
Buffalo may also be down a few players on Sunday.
The Bills only ruled out cornerback Rasul Douglas but also listed eight other players as questionable for this weekend. That list includes tight end Dalton Kincaid, safety Damar Hamlin, multiple backup defensive linemen and backup offensive tackle Tylan Grable. However, they are expected to have wide receivers Keon Coleman, Amari Cooper and Curtis Samuel, who’ve all been dealing with injuries in recent weeks.
The Lions are trying to extend their winning streak to 12 games while the Bills are hoping to rebound from a loss to the Rams last week that snapped their seven-game winning streak.
