“Locked In” Green Bay Packers Star Challenges Teammates Ahead of Closing Stretch

The Green Bay Packers poured a lot of emotion into a Week 14 clash against the Detroit Lions on Thursday Night Football, only to fall short of upsetting their bitter NFC North rivals.

There was the back-and-forth between Packers tight end Tucker Kraft and Lions safety Kerby Joseph, and Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur even got into it pre-game with an overzelous Detroit fan holding the giant American flag for the National Anthem.

After falling to 9-4, Kraft is calling on his teammates to take a different approach as a monumentally importating closing stretch of the season begins Sunday night in Seattle against the Seahawks.

“Last game was a check for us,” Kraft told reporters. “Because we had guys playing with — myself included — playing with aggression but not necessary the best technique … this next storm of games, we’re gonna be locked in.”

Harnessing emotion could prove critical for the Packers, as Green Bay looks to climb the seeding in the NFC but faces games against the Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings and rival Chicago Bears to close out the 2024 campaign.
