The Cincinnati Bengals have had one of the most disappointing seasons in recent memory as the team is sitting at 4-8… Painful.

Although the team has found every possible to lose this season, Joe Burrow has had the best season of his NFL career.

The offense, in particular, has been one of the best units in the NFL with Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase.

Burrow has posted 3,337 passing yards (1st in the NFL), 30 touchdown passes (1st in the NFL), and only five interceptions.

Richard Sherman takes shot at Bengals while making Joe Burrow NFL MVP case

Richard Sherman has caught on to the incredible season from Burrow, despite the record, and has made it clear he should be MVP.

“Statistically, Joe Burrow should be the MVP,” Sherman said. “His team has just let him down. He’s got 30 touchdowns, five interceptions, you can say what you want. You can boo what you want. The numbers are the numbers…”

It is hard to believe that the Bengals will likely miss the playoffs, barring a miracle, and Burrow has had this kind of season.

The front office has failed Burrow this season, and the hopes now shift to things being fixed in the offseason going into 2025, but that is also unlikely.

The future is unknown for the Bengals, but Burrow has made one thing clear… He is one of the best and deserves his respect.
