The star quarterback’s latest mega purpose was reportedly not advised.
After signing a mammoth five-year, $275 million contract to quarterback the Cincinnati Bengals through 2028, there aren’t many purchases that are beyond Joe Burrow’s means these days.
The viewing public got a glimpse into Burrow’s lavish spending habits as HBO released its latest in-season edition of ‘Hard Knocks’ earlier this week, with the quarterback revealing to fellow offensive superstars Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase that he had purchased a Batmobile.
However, Batman’s iconic car was a bridge too far for Burrow’s financial advisor, at least according to Bengals kicker Evan McPherson during a recent appearance on FOX’s local Cincinnati affiliate.
"I heard him and his financial advisor weren't on the same page. Joe (Burrow) was adamant."

“It’s funny, before the episode came out I heard that Joe buying a Batmobile was a possibility,” McPherson said. “I heard him and his financial advisor weren’t on the same page about this particular purchase, Joe was adamant about buying that car. So I heard it, but I didn’t think it was actually true, I didn’t think he actually bought it. So now that it’s confirmed, I can’t wait to see it.”

Burrow was jokingly reluctant to discuss the details of his reportedly $3 million purchase, replying, “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” when asked about the Batmobile during a recent media availability.
The 27-year-old quarterback has certainly backed up his ostentatious purchase on the field this year, putting together another remarkable statistical season at the head of Cincinnati’s explosive offense. Burrow was recognized as Offensive Player of the Month for November, completing 61 percent of his passes for 1,035 yards and 12 touchdowns against just one interception during that stretch.
However, the Bengals managed just a 1-3 record during that stretch, largely due to a porous defense allowing more than 33 points per game and ranking second-last in scoring defense on the season. Cincinnati will look to get back on track during prime time Monday evening, facing off against Dallas at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
