The Cincinnati Bengals are in actual do-or-die mode at this current point in the season.

They are at a disappointing 4-8 mark with five games to go, and they cannot afford to lose another game.

According to the team’s official site, they have made three roster moves ahead of Monday night’s matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

They signed veteran kicker Cade York to the practice squad, offensive tackle Andrew Stueber to the active roster, and veteran kicker Evan McPherson to the Reserve/Injured list.

Starting with the kicking situation, the team needed to make a move after McPherson injured his groin last week.

Now, they get the veteran in York.

A former national champion at LSU, York played for four different teams over three seasons (Cleveland Browns twice).

The former All-American has made 24 of 34 career field goals in the NFL and is 35 of 37 on extra points in his young career.

Time will tell if York can help hold down the fort until McPherson returns, especially if the Bengals are still alive for the playoffs.

The addition of Stueber to the active roster is notable, too.

A former All-American at Michigan, Stueber has previously spent time with the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons.

He spent time on the Bengals earlier in the season before being waived.

Now, he is back and has a real opportunity to help the team with everything in the balance for Zac Taylor and Co.
