The frustration of losing was starting to creep in for the Chicago Blackhawks. They finally did something about it as they crushed the Colorado Avalanche 5-2.

After losing four straight, players were starting to voice their displeasure with all the defeats the team had been taking, including superstar Connor Bedard.

While it is still early in his career, you do not want the franchise’s savior to start thinking it is awful being on the Hawks.

Thankfully, the Blackhawks did something about it and they did it by realizing scoring goals do not have to be perfect.

The problem the Hawks have had under head coach Luke Richardson is the resistance to just fire the puck at the net and get a couple of greasy goals. Maybe the team got the hint, as it was on display last night against Colorado.

Not every goal needs to be a highlight reel score. You cannot Michigan goal every time. It just needs to get in the back of the net and a lot. It also does not need to be scored by Connor Bedard or Tyler Bertuzzi (although it would be nice if he did score some more goals).

They just need to be scored.

Ryan Donato provided the bulk of the offense with two goals and an assist. Nick Foligno and his line were outstanding in providing the proper response to a four-game losing streak.

However, it was not a full 60-minute effort, something that has been plaguing the team during this young season. This team the Hawks had the appropriate response.

That is an encouraging sign. However, the Hawks have to show they can sustain this. Consistency not only must be established throughout an entire game but as the season goes along.

Last night cannot just be a one-night stand if this franchise is ready to break free from the frustration losing brings.

Although the team is probably not ready to win consistently, it would be a step forward if they stopped losing a lot.
