The Buffalo Bills have turned heads and won their last seven games. Along the way, they have knocked the Kansas City Chiefs from the mountains of the unbeaten, and have won five of those games by more than two scores.
It’s about time some of the top analysts around the league are giving them their flowers. In the latest power rankings list, the Bills were ranked as the second-best team in football – ahead of the two-time defending Kansas City Chiefs.
It’s a clear sign that Buffalo’s early season struggles have not only come to an end but have made the organization that much stronger.
NFL.com’s Eric Edholm felt as much in his latest power rankings.
“They’ve wrapped up the AFC East, so the mission now moves to clclinchhe AFC’s top seed,” Edholm wrote. “Tough games versus the Rams and Lions remain, but the Bills benefitted from the Ravens’ loss on Sunday, which makes it more likely that the battle for the No. 1 spot boils down to Kansas City vs. Buffalo.
“There are not a lot of nits to pick here, and it was great to see linebacker Matt Milano — who hadn’t played since Week 5 of last season, thanks to multiple injuries — back in a 37-snap effort. His return could really be a game changer for the Bills’ defense.”
Milano’s return is certainly something that the Bills are pleased to see.
It’s also not the only thing going for Buffalo right now.
So longas the Bils continue to rack up wins, it’s not to see them as one of the best teams in football.
