BREAKING: 🚨 Did Chiefs’ Hollywood Brown Just Hint at a Comeback? πŸ€”πŸ”₯

Chiefs' Hollywood Brown Posts Cryptic Tweet Signaling Return - Newsweek

Kansas City Chiefs star wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown seems to be hinting that he will return to play soon, posting a cryptic message to Twitter/X.

The WR merely posted the words “That work gone show..” followed by an hourglass emoji, but Chiefs fans are already taking it to mean that a crucial part of the team’s offense may be on his way back.

Brown has been sidelined since before the regular season started due to a sternoclavicular injury. Initially, it was reported that the star WR would miss the entire 2024 season, a huge loss for the team. However, it now looks like he is set to return, just in time to aid the Chiefs now that they’ve clinched a spot in the playoffs.

Brown is set for an appointment with his surgeon in Week 15 to potentially receive final clearance, per NFL Insider Ian Rapoport. If all goes well, he could return to the practice field and possibly make his debut in Weeks 16 or 17.

With Isiah Pacheco also making his long-awaited return this week, Brown’s potential availability adds another layer of depth and firepower as the Chiefs push into the final weeks of the regular season.

The Chiefs faced a setback when Rashee Rice suffered a major knee injury in early October, but the midseason trade for DeAndre Hopkins has helped offset the loss. Hopkins has recorded 26 catches for 325 yards and three touchdowns since joining the team.

Kansas City will host the L.A. Chargers in Week 14 and visit the Cleveland Browns in Week 15. The Chiefs then face a grueling stretch of three games in 10 days, including matchups with the Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers. Brown’s presence would no doubt be a huge boost for the 11-1 team.

Brown was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round (25th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft and finished his rookie season with 46 catches for 584 yards and 7 touchdowns. In 2022, he was traded to the Arizona Cardinals, reuniting with his college quarterback, Kyler Murray; Brown had 51 catches for 574 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns for the Cardinals last season.

Brown signed a one-year deal worth up to $11 million with the Chiefs in March, with fans desperately hoping he could replace Tyreek Hill as an offensive threat. While he hasn’t been able to contribute anything on the field yet, it seems that may be about to change.
