Is it the end for the Cowboys? Dallas’ only option left to salvage the season

Prescott and Lamb

The Dallas Cowboys haven’t had to wait until January in this 2024/25 NFL season to throw it all away, as they seem to have accomplished the feat before November this time, but there is one possible way out if they’re prepared to make some tough decisions.

Trade, trade, trade. That’s how Michael Irvin tips the side to recover from third place in the NFC East as their campaign continues to implode with the side possessing a 3-4 record and languishing behind the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles.

“It looks bad right now. The only kind of hope they have right now is some kind of move is made at the trade deadline. I don’t know but it’s certainly not going to do it staying as they are right now.

“They have to do something,” Irvin said to TMZ Sports. “They have to do something. It’s bad right now. The morale is bad, everybody’s hurting.”

TMZ warns Mike McCarthy he could be fired

The negative record will no doubt be huge concern for Jerry Jones after he mortgaged Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb to new deals for the expensive cost of $376 million dollars whilst Micah Parsons waits to see what happens with his future.

So the billionaire franchise owner will be furious that neither of them are able to get the offense going at the moment but for Irvin, he warned that the problem might actually result in Mike McCarthy going to the chopping block as the head coach struggles for answers.

“You continue losing, there’s something that’s going to have to happen,” Irvin added to TMZ. “There’s never, ‘It’s okay.’ Nobody is saying that in the NFL.

“The toughest, most pressurized jobs in this country. Top 33. I’ll give you one, POTUS [President] and we’ll decide that in a few days.

“But here from two to 33? NFL head coaches. Period. Bar none. You win or you’re a** is gone.”
