PREVIEW: Blackhawks Take on Stars in First United Center Matchup

TONIGHT’S MATCHUP

Chicago meets Dallas for the second of four meetings between the two clubs this season. Tyler Bertuzzi has six points (3G, 3A) over his last five games against Dallas. Connor Bedard has points in four-straight games against the Stars (2G, 2A). Craig Smith played with the Stars during the 2023-24 campaign, registering 20 points (11G, 9A) in 75 regular-season games and two assists in 14 postseason contests.

LAST TIME OUT

The Blackhawks fell 3-2 in overtime to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday at Wells Fargo Center. Pat Maroon (1G, 1A) and Lukas Reichel (1G, 1A) each posted two points. Craig Smith recorded an assist and has points (1G, 1A) in back- to-back games. Connor Murphy also registered an assist. Alex Vlasic led all team skaters with four blocked shots and now ranks sixth among all NHL players with 55 blocked shots this season. Petr Mrazek made 34 saves on 37 shots (.919 SV%).

PAT ON THE BACK

Against Philadelphia, forward Pat Maroon notched two points (1G, 1A), including his first goal as a Blackhawk. He now has points (1G, 2A) in back-to- back games. He also posted two hits in the game and now ranks fourth on the club with 33 hits this season. Maroon is currently two games shy of 800 for his NHL career, having recorded 310 points (122G, 188A) in 798 NHL games. He would become the 20th player from the 2007 NHL Draft to hit the milestone.

LUKAS OIL

Blackhawks forward Lukas Reichel recorded two points (1G, 1A) on Saturday for his second multi-point game of the season (Oct. 19 vs. BUF; 2A). He has now registered four points (2G, 2A) in two career games against the Flyers. Reichel also shared second among all team skaters and tied a season high with three blocked shots (Nov. 7 at DAL).

CONNOR ROLL

Defenseman Connor Murphy tallied an assist against the Flyers and now shares second on the club with eight helpers in 21 games this season. With the assist, Murphy notched his 100th point as a Blackhawk (28G, 72A) and became the 30th blueliner in team history to hit the milestone. He also shared first among all team skaters with three hits on Saturday.
