Patriots vs. Colts Thursday injury report: 13 project as limited for New England - Pats Pulpit

The New England Patriots spent Thanksgiving away from Gillette Stadium.

But if practice had been held on Thursday, the participation would have remained the same as before, with 13 players projected as limited participants for head coach Jerod Mayo’s side of the aisle.

Here’s the second injury report leading up to Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoff versus Indianapolis Colts in Foxborough.

Colts

The Patriots began the modified week with a walkthrough inside the practice bubble on Tuesday. Perfect attendance continued on the practice fields outside Gillette Stadium on Wednesday. As for the incoming Colts, the same handful of non-participants carried over on Thanksgiving, with three members of the wide receiver depth chart among the sidelined.

Colts

  • No players listed

The Patriots added Douglas and Peppers to the injury report on Wednesday. The sophomore slot receiver became a limited participant due to an ankle injury, while the veteran safety went in that capacity due to a knee injury after recently being reinstated from the commissioner’s exempt list. And on the interior offensive line, Strange’s 21-day window to return from the physically unable to perform list remains open. The top pick in the organization’s 2022 draft class saw his 2023 campaign end on injured reserve due to a torn patellar tendon. He was listed as questionable last weekend, yet was not activated on the eve of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff against the Miami Dolphins.

  • S Marte Mapu (neck)

Colts

  • WR Michael Pittman Jr. (back)

Gonzalez and Mapu had a hand in a fumble-turned-touchdown in last Sunday’s 34-15 AFC East loss at Hard Rock Stadium. Both defensive backs have since been listed as full participants while working through respective hip and neck ailments. And in Indianapolis, Alie-Cox at tight end and Raimann at tackle went in full on Thursday.
